Enterprise
Enterprise week got off to a flying start with assembly and every subject running an activity to highlight the importance of enterprising skills. Students are already benefiting from our Enterprise Specialim.
Students will be put to the test in the following activities run by subject teachers. This year students will also benefit from learning about the ethics of business. Fair Trade is the theme for this years enterprising activities. Prizes for most enterprising student will be awarded next celebrations assembly:
- Mathematics - Smoothie challenge
- English - Fair Trade Debate
- Science - Making Soap
- ICT- Creating a Fair Trade video
- Sport- Playing fair in sport
- Music- Creating a piece of music for Fair Trade
- MFL- Fair Trade Puppet show
- Business studies-Becoming a Fair Trade Academy
- Art and Design- Creating a fair trade banner
- DT- Baking a fair trade cake, creating packaging, printing bags
Students will be running businesses these include:
- Personalised hoodies to year 11
- Personalised mugs
- Mouse mats
- Teddy bears with t-shirts for staff parents and students order forms can be picked up from main reception also available during parents evenings
In addition to this Falconwood students will be competing with other Harris Academies in the following events:
- Year 7 Maths challenge held at Harris Academy South Norword
- Year 7 Soap and perfume making day Harris Academy Crystal Palace
- Year 8 Enterprise and Sports factor Harris Academy East Dulwich Boys
- Year 10 Yoga and Boxing challenge Harris Academy East Dulwich Girls
- Year 9 Fair Trade challenge Harris Academy Falconwood
- Year 9 Stock Market Challenge Harris Academy Merton
- Year 8 Media Production Harris Academy Bermondsey
