Harris Academies
All Academies in our Federation aim to transform the lives of the students they serve by bringing about rapid improvement in examination results, personal development and aspiration.

Faculty Structure

Upon joining Harris Academy Falconwood, every student becomes a member of a Faculty which provides a sense of belonging to a smaller unit and overcomes the concerns some students have when moving to a large secondary school.

Our Academy has four Faculties, each comprising of two tutor groups from each of Years 7-11.  Each Faculty is led by an Assistant Principal as Head of Faculty with a team of Subject Coordinators.  The Assistant Principals work across the Academy, through all age groups, taking responsibility for implementing cross-Academy strategies proven to be successful in raising achievement.  The Coordinators and Form Tutors track and monitor progression of our students throughout their life in the Academy. The system for celebrating achievement and enterprising attitudes to learning will reflect this structure, as will the sanctions procedures to ensure that learning comes first.
