When our students finish their exams, we don’t want that to be the last time they’re in touch with Harris Academy Falconwood. We are pleased to be working with the education charity Future First to help us keep in touch with our former students as they go into the world of higher education, apprenticeships and work.
So why keep in touch?
- stay connected
- improve your CV
- get a reference
- inspire students in your old seats…
We believe that former students are in the best position to offer advice and guidance to current students. You could be a fantastic role model for future students by sharing your experiences, for example:
- talking to year 9s about choosing GCSE options
- talking to year 11s about exams, revision and choosing your post-16 route
- letting students know what the first year out after leaving Harris Falconwood is really like
- and much more…
What do I get out of it?
You’ll get to hear the latest news from us, and we can still offer you our support even after you leave. Perhaps you could talk to prospective students at an open evening? Or you could help fundraise towards new books for the library or hiring a coach for a trip.
There are two ways that you can sign-up to the network; if you are currently still in school in year 11 or 13 and about to leave at the end of this academic year you should follow this link:
If you are a former student of the school (whether you left 6 months or 6 years ago!) please use this link:
We’re really looking forward to having you join our network!
