I am writing to inform you that your son/daughter has been invited to attend an AS level workshop at the renowned Wohl Reach Out Lab (ROL) at Imperial College London (ICL) on Monday 27th February 2017.
The laboratory is a state-of-the-art laboratory established to raise the aspirations and scientific literacy of young people of all abilities from a diversity of backgrounds. Opened in 2010, the Wohl ROL signalled a new and inspirational concept to provide a committed STEM space in a world class scientific teaching and research environment.
Harris Sixth Form Science students have been extremely fortunate to be able to take part in a number of Biology, Chemistry and Physics workshops in the Reach Out Lab. The aim of the programme is to provide a higher education based laboratory experience of identified key A Level topics to support the teaching of these topics in school. Spectroscopy will be a key focus for the day. This is a fantastic opportunity!
Students are expected to arrive punctually for registration at 9.45am at the Reach Out Lab (ROL) in the Centre of the ICL campus. Finishing time will be approximately 4.00pm. Lunch will be provided free of charge. Only travel costs to and from the University will be incurred.
Venue address: Reach Out Lab, Skempton Building (no. 28 on the map attached),
Exhibition Road, London, SW7 2AZ
