Year 12 & 13 Mock Exams

Mock GCE Examinations for all Sixth Form will be taking place prior to the Easter break. These examinations are intended to be a rehearsal for the formal GCE examinations taken in 2017/2018 and an opportunity to show development from the previous mock examinations.

All students studying AS (and year 12 students studying A-Level English, Sociology, Drama and Art) and Cambridge Technical courses will be undertaking their Mock exams starting the week of Monday 20th March and continuing over the following week. All Year 13 students studying A-Levels and resitting modular AS exams will be starting Monday 27th March and continuing over the final week of this term.

These examinations will be taking place under the same conditions as formal GCE examinations. Subject teachers will ensure students approach these exams with the same attitude expected of them in public examinations, and the only way a student can get a true reflection of their current performance in the subject is by preparing for these exams in the same way. Students must ensure that they bring the appropriate equipment for each examination.  Students are expected to continue demonstrating exceptional behaviour and focus in these examinations to ensure that they, and their peers, are able to perform to their full potential.

During the mock examination period students are expected to be in attendance for the whole of the Academy day and wear full business dress as usual.

Mock results will be issued via post to parents as the student’s most recent assessment grade (MRA) in the next report cycle.
