Curriculum Information
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that each individual student is educated and supported to succeed in the world today. The academy offers a wide range of high quality academic and vocational courses. The curriculum for each Key Stage is outlined below.
Key Stage 3
This weekly key stage programme of study is followed during years 7 and 8. In the majority of subjects, students are put into sets appropriate to their ability.

Key Stage 4
The Key Stage 4 programme of study is followed during years 9, 10 & 11 where students are split into three different routes dependent upon need. F & E route students follow the English Baccalaureate subjects, whilst the N route students follow a narrower curriculum.
All students will have a mandatory option choice of History and/or Geography, which will be allocated 4 teaching periods. Students then have a further two option choices which will be allocated 3 teaching periods each. Some options choices may have entry criteria.
