Religious Studies
What is Religious Education?
RE helps students gain an appreciation of how religion, philosophy and ethics form the basis of navigating life in multicultural Britain. Lessons provide students a safe space to reflect upon and explore different world views on wide ranging issues. This will help develop their analytical and critical thinking skills by grappling with abstract ideas and answering bug questions about life and death.
How do we make Religious Studies memorable at HAF?
- Visits to religious places of worship / retreats
- Participating in the annual NATRE Spirited Arts competition
- Encouraging students of all age groups to contribute articles to our RE journal, ‘The Critical Thinker’.
- In-class debates
