Throughout KS 3 they are able to gain a solid insight into contemporary issues and beliefs from around the world.
Year 7: in Year 7 students learn the ingredients of religion and look at ultimate questions, for example, ‘Does God exist?’ learning important skills of evaluation which they will carry through to year 11. In Year 7 pupils also have the opportunity to create their own religion including all of the ingredients they have previously studied; this is a creative task which students take a lot of pride in.
Year 8: in Year 8 religion and philosophy pupils look at ‘who am I and ‘what is the purpose of life?
