Mrs Keith graduated from the University of Essex with a joint honours degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies in 2010, before completing her PGCE at the University of Cambridge in 2011. These formative academic experiences shaped her commitment to evidence-informed practice and reinforced her belief in the transformative power of education and the need for quality first teaching for every student, in every lesson, every day. 

Mrs Keith has taught at Harris Academy Falconwood for over 15 years. Throughout her career as an English teacher at the academy, Mrs Keith has held many roles, including Literacy lead, Head of English and Lead Practitioner. Currently, and for the past 6 years, Mrs Keith has been as Assistant Principal who leads on whole academy Teaching and Learning, alongside whole academy curriculum and assessment, CPD and broader staff professional development. She is passionate about developing teachers at every stage of their career, championing a culture of reflective practice where colleagues are supported and challenged to be “better every time” for the students they serve every day.

Mrs Keith’s leadership is driven by a strong moral purpose: securing an equitable learning experience for all students, regardless of ability, background or starting point. She is committed to fostering a culture of inclusive, ambitious classroom environments and building a professional culture where staff and students alike feel supported, valued and empowered to achieve their very best.
