How to Apply
Applications for September 2026
There are still a few places available for Sixth Form. Please contact sixthformadmissions@harrisfalconwood.org.uk with your GCSE grades now, to secure a place.
Applications for September 2027
Applications for 2027 entry will open on 13th October 2026. Please come to our Open Evening to view our facilities and find out about the subjects on offer. Sixth Form Open Evening Tuesday 13th October 2026 5pm-7pm, last admittance 6:30pm. Tickets are not required for this event.
There are two different routes to apply; one for current HAF students and one for new students joining us from other schools.
Current HAF student applications
- October 2026 - November 2026: Application in person
HAF students will meet with senior staff to discuss applying for Sixth Form. If they want to apply students will complete the application form in school, with their initial subject choices. Do not complete the online application form.
- November 2026 - December 2026: Conditional offers
Conditional offers will be made via email, students must accept to continue the process. Students must check their school email account.
- March 2027 - May 2027: Follow up meetings
Follow up meetings will be held in school with some applicants, after their mock exams, to refine their subject choices.
New joiner applications
- October 2026 - March 2027: Application online
New students will complete the online application form with their subject choices. The online Application form will open on 13th October 2026. Closing date for online applications is 1st April 2027.
- January 2027 - April 2027: In person meeting
Applicants will be invited to a meeting to discuss their subject choices and predicted grades.
- January 2026 - June 2026: Conditional offers
Conditional offers will be made via email, students must accept to continue the process. We will inform you if we cannot make you an offer.
Taster Days
July 2027: Taster Days will take place after all GCSE exams. Offer holders will be invited to experience a day at our Sixth Form and try taster lessons. These days are by invitation only.
Enrolment for September 2027
Results Day Morning: GCSE results day. Current HAF students will collect their results and those who have met the conditions of their offer will enrol with a member of staff in the morning.
Results Day Afternoon: New joining students who have met the conditions of their offer will bring their GCSE results and ID and enrol in the afternoon.
Note conditional offers are only valid on this day, we will not hold a space open for you if you do not enrol on this date. Enrolment is in person only.
Day after results day: Students who have not met the conditions of their offer can attend in the morning, their results will be reviewed to see if they can join other courses. Students who have not been made an offer but meet our minimum entry requirements can also attend in the morning. Remaining places will be offered on a first come first served bases.
Post-16 Bursary
16-19 Bursary Fund
At Harris Academy Falconwood Sixth Form we offer a bursary scheme to students from lower income families, to help with the cost of clothing and equipment required for Sixth Form. If your family is in receipt of benefits or free school meals, then you may qualify for our bursary scheme. Please contact the Academy to request an application form on infoHAFSF@harrisfalconwood.org.uk.
