Ms Alicia Thompson
Assistant Principal - Head of Year 7, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Personal Development & Wellebing
Ms Thompson began her teaching career after graduating from King's College London. She spent 17 years working at a secondary school in Essex where she held a variety of teaching, pastoral and leadership roles. In 2017 she became a member of the senior leadership team at Harris Academy Ockendon where she led on Personal Development, Year 11 and served as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
In January 2026, Ms Thompson joined Harris Academy Falconwood, where she is the Designated Safeguarding lead and leads on inclusion, and attendance. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student feels valued, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential. Working closely with families, staff and external agencies, she is committed to removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all students receive the highest level of care and support.
Ms Thompson is currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), further developing her strategic leadership skills and applying evidence-informed practice to drive continuous improvement across the academy. She is committed to fostering a culture where safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion and excellent attendance are at the heart of everything the academy does.
