Mr Si Ali

Vice Principal - Quality of education

Mr Ali is Vice Principal at Harris Academy Falconwood, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in education, including strategic school leadership, school improvement and a deep commitment to ensuring that every young person receives an excellent education.

Mr Ali grew up in Deptford and attended school locally. He was the first in his family to go to university and one of only three students from his sixth form to do so. He went on to study Graphic Communication at the University of Central Lancashire. These experiences shaped many of the values that underpin his leadership today: grit, determination, kindness and extreme ownership. He believes that these qualities can also transform the lives of young people.

Before joining Harris Academy Falconwood in 2025, Mr Ali held senior leadership roles at Harris Academy Greenwich, where he led on key areas of academy improvement, including student outcomes, curriculum implementation, staff development and leadership development. He has also supported schools within and beyond the Harris Federation with leadership development and curriculum development.

At Harris Academy Falconwood, Mr Ali plays multiple key roles which include strengthening Quality of Education, supporting the strategic leadership of Year 11 and ensuring that students experience consistently strong teaching and high expectations every day.

Mr Ali is also a qualified and experienced leadership coach and is committed to developing the conditions in which both staff and students can thrive.

His leadership is driven by a clear moral purpose: to create a school culture where every student feels safe, valued, challenged and proud to belong. He is committed to helping young people develop the confidence, character and resilience they need to succeed beyond school, not just strong academic outcomes.

Mr Ali is proud to serve the Harris Academy Falconwood community and is committed to working in the very best interests of its students.
