Imagination Week 2026 - Bigger, Better and More Inspiring Than Ever!
This year’s Imagination Week 2026 was bigger, bolder and more exciting than ever before, providing our students with a fantastic range of opportunities to explore new ideas, discover future careers and create lasting memories.
Our Year 7 students enjoyed a wonderful trip to Leeds Castle, travelling in style aboard iconic Routemaster buses before spending the day exploring the magnificent grounds and learning more about one of the country's most famous historic landmarks. The trip was a huge success and gave students the chance to experience history beyond the classroom in a truly memorable way.
Meanwhile, Years 8 and 9 travelled to the Science Museum, where they learned about some of the most exciting developments in space exploration, including the historic Artemis II mission, which will see humans travel further from Earth than ever before. The visit sparked curiosity and imagination, encouraging students to think about what the future of science and technology could hold.
Back at the academy, students took part in one of our newest and most popular additions to the week – the Chocolate Challenge. Students were tasked with designing their own chocolate brand, creating marketing materials and producing their chocolate creations. The quality of the entries was outstanding, with some truly imaginative ideas and delicious products that were enjoyed by both staff and students. The challenge showcased the creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit of our young people.
Our Ambitious Futures Programme also played a major role in the week, with a host of employers and professionals visiting the academy to inspire our Key Stage 3 students. The highlight for many was a visit from the London Fire and Rescue Service, who drove a fire engine onto the school grounds and spoke to students about careers in the emergency services. It was a memorable experience that captured students' imaginations and provided a fascinating insight into an important public service.
One student commented:
"Imagination Week was my favourite week of the year. There was so much to do, and I loved seeing the fire engine and taking part in the Chocolate Challenge. It really made me think about things I might like to do in the future."
A huge thank you goes to all the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to provide our students with such a diverse and exciting programme of experiences. Their dedication and enthusiasm helped make the week a tremendous success and ensured that every student had the opportunity to learn, create and be inspired.
We are incredibly proud of what was achieved during Imagination Week 2026 and are already looking forward to making next year's event even bigger, bolder and more ambitious, giving our students even more opportunities to imagine, explore and achieve.
