Miss Emma Pello

Miss Emma Pello is an Assistant Principal at Harris Academy Falconwood, joining the school and the Senior Leadership team in September 2025.

Miss Pello joined teaching after an initial career working in finance as a Chartered Accountant specialising in audit and the charity sector. This means that her first experience of academies was auditing their finances! After spending 8 years working in the city she came to teaching to work in a more rewarding field and bring some outside experience to the students.

Miss Pello is responsible for our whole school homework and scholarly outcomes programmes as well as being Head of Year 11. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and academic culture where students are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential. Miss Pello is thrilled to work with Year 11 in their pivotal exam year and to provide the structure across the year for eery student to truly thrive. She is equally keen that all students see their hard work is recognised and praised and that Year 11 is a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience for all our students.

Miss Pello has been in the Harris Federation for 10 years, working at Harris Academy Greenwich as a Head of Department and Assistant Principal before joining us in 2025. During her time on the Senior Leadership Teams Miss Pello has held a range of roles including leading on Curriculum, Safeguarding Student Voice. This has helped to give her a rounded view of school leadership and the importance of every function of the school so she can support other leaders, teachers and students holistically. Miss Pello teaches Maths and remains passionate about every student receiving a fantastic maths education and demystifying the discipline for students who come with misconceptions and hesitation. She has a proven track record of outstanding GCSE and A Level results and is mainly found in the Key Stage 4 and 5 classrooms, working with exam groups to ensure they reach the best grades possible.
