Rewards & Recognition

At Harris Academy Falconwood, we believe that celebrating achievement and effort is essential to fostering a positive and aspirational learning environment. Our rewards and recognition systems are designed to motivate students, acknowledge their hard work, and encourage personal growth both inside and outside the classroom. From daily praise and achievement points to CARE awards and special events, we ensure that success is recognised at every level.

Recognition Points

At the end of every lesson, our staff issue positive recognition points to students for a range of reasons including hard work, excellence in lesson, and serving the community. These are recorded on Bromcom and can be seen by parents via the My Child at School (MCAS) app. MCAS

Student 'Shout Outs'

Each week staff 'shout out' students who have gone above and beyond. Shout Out cards are written by members of staff to recognise student actioning in line with the CARE values. Cards are issued to students during the Morning Read by Heads of Year and PSOs each week. Shout Out Card

Personal Excellence Awards

We want our students to be proud of the work that they produce and the Personal Excellence Award offers students the opportunity to demonstrate excellence/pride in work that they have produced inside or outside of the Academy.

Students can self nominate via the Students SharePoint and completing an online form to declare their interest in being acknowledged. The piece of work is then reviewed by thier Head of Year, the Subject Lead and the Head of Academy who then decide upon the level of ‘excellence’ to be awarded (Bronze,Silver, Gold, or Principal’s award).
