Be Exceptional
At Harris Academy Falconwood Sixth Form we offer the following programmes to our gifted and talented students.
Purple Route programme
Students who achieve an average grade 7 or higher at GCSE may apply to join our Purple Route programme. This scheme is designed to raise aspirations and increase the number of students that apply to Oxford, Cambridge or Russell Group universities or degree apprenticeships. Find out more about the Purple Route here.
Jack from year 13 says: “The best thing about the Purple Route is the many amazing opportunities that we are given. My favourite was going on the Oxford residential trip, where we attended lectures and explored the city.”
Harris Experience Advanced programme (HEA)
The Harris Experience Advanced programme is run by the Harris Federation across multiple Harris Sixth Forms, and aims to give the most academically able students outstanding preparation for the country’s top university destinations. In Year 12, HEA students have the opportunity to meet, share ideas and take advantage of the MeDCAS and Oxbridge programmes. Students receive tailored advice and are taught how to build a competitive profile. Find out more about the HEA programme here.
