A guided independent reading programme that motivates students in KS3 to read for pleasure. A student reads a book, takes an online quiz, and gets immediate feedback. Students respond to regular feedback and are motivated to make progress with their reading skills. STAR Reading is a computer-adaptive assessment, using sophisticated item calibration and psychometrics to adjust dynamically to each student’s unique responses. The tests can be taken at any time throughout the year and as often as results are required. |

Aimed at pupils between 7 to 16 years, the standardised test comprises three sections: phonics, sentence completion and passage comprehension. |
