Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge
On Wednesday, Year 10 student Stuti Adhikari took part and represented Harris Academy Falconwood in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge Regional Final. Members of staff, students and Stuti’s family were also present to support Stuti, who gave a rousing speech despite her initial nervousness.
The majority of those taking part spoke about stereotypes, body image and education. However, Stuti spoke about the ‘selfless sacrifice’ that some people make for others and her message was to make sure we pay attention to these people and acknowledge how lucky we are to benefit from these ‘selfless sacrifices’.
Unfortunately, Stuti did not win, but the originality of her speech and the emotions she passed on were far greater than the rest of the candidates.
