Entry Requirements

Applicants applying to the Harris Academy Falconwood Sixth Form will attain the required entry-level standard. These are:

Course Level Requirements
A-levels Seven GCSEs at grade 5 or above AND meet the grade criteria for the chosen qualifications. This will be a grade 6 or grade 7 in a relevant GSCE subject. Please see the full list of subject specific entry requirements.
Combination Three grade 5s and two grade 4s at GCSE or merit or above in an equivalent subject related to course choices. Students must choose two vocational subjects and one A-level. For the A-level, students must have the minimum subject specific entry requirements.
Vocational level 3 qualifications Five grade 4s at GCSE or equivalent, with at least a merit or grade 4 in a relevant equivalent qualification.

Extended writing A-level subjects require at least a grade 5 in GCSE English Language.

All courses are subject to a minimum and maximum number of students.

GCSE resits  
Resit English GCSE Students who have not achieved a grade 4 or above in either English Language or Literature will be required to resit GCSE English.
Resit Maths GCSE Students who have not achieved a grade 4 or above will need to resit GCSE Maths.

Students cannot resit both GCSE English and Maths.

Enrolment from the age of 17/18 is at the discretion of the site Principal who will take into account the students most recent academic results. In most cases students will only be accepted onto Vocational level 3 courses unless there are exceptional circumstances.
